============================
Hack 10.6: ConsumerJRE/PPTransN/

This is the Consumer JRE version of Hack 10.6 PPTrans/

The files and directories are:

* PPTransJFrame.java, PPTransPanel.java

* javacN.bat, javaN.bat
     // batch files for compiling and running the example;
     // they utilize the Consumer JRE (see below)

* images/
    - bg2.png

------
Compilation and Execution
=========================

> javacN *.java

> javaN PPTransJFrame

* To move the window: drag the cursor with the left mouse button pressed.
* To iconify/close: right click to show a popup menu.

------
Modyifying the Panel's Background

* If you add new images, make sure to put them in the images/
  subdirectory. The easiest way of making a translucent image is
  to create a PNG file.

* Mofify the BACK_IM static constant at the start of PPTransJPanel.java
  to use the new image filename.

* paintComponent() in PPTransJPanel.java also contains commented
  out code to dynamically draw translucent shapes.

-------
Consumer JRE

The Consumer JRE (also known as Java SE 6 Update N and Java SE 6 Update 10)
is a separate upgrade path for Java SE 6, distinct from the main version 6
releases (which are up to Java SE 6 Update 5 as we write).

The Consumer JRE can be downloaded from
https://jdk6.dev.java.net/6uNea.html.

The batch files in this directory (javacN.bat and javaN.bat) assume
that the Consumer JRE is located in %ProgramFiles%\Java\jdk1.6.0_10\bin\
